Rapid Repair Balm is an all natural, antimicrobial, nourishing aftercare balm. It assists in a speedy recovery and can be used instead of the Aquaphor and lotion. It also works great on new tattoos and it smells like chocolate!

Aftercare

• You may use ice for 10 minutes on and 10 minutes off until the pain and swelling subside. Be sure there is a barrier between the ice and your skin.

• Keep a thin layer of Aquaphor on the tattoo for 3 days.

• Use scent-free, sensitive soap to gently cleanse the treated area twice a day. Dove soap works well.

• After the 3 days of Aquaphor use, apply scent-free, sensitive lotion to keep the tattoo hydrated for at least 4 more days. CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion works well.

• If you purchased the Rapid Repair Balm at your appointment, you do not need to use any Aquaphor, lotion, or Bacitracin (if you blister). Rapid Repair Balm has antimicrobial factors in it and is phenomenal at nourishing, protecting, and repairing the skin.

Do not scratch or pick at the tattoo. Allow all scabs/crust to fall off naturally. If scabs/crust is forcibly removed, even if you think it's about to come off, scarring may occur.

• If a dressing is applied to your tattoo at your appointment, it is okay to remove it the next day. If you want to continue using dressing for comfort purposes, clean the area before placing a new dressing and continue using the Aquaphor as you normally would throughout the day.

Should blistering or bubbling occur, do not panic, this can happen. If the blister/bubble gets bigger than a dime, pop it with a sterile Lancet or small sterile needle and use gauze to gently press out any fluid until the blister is flat. You may need to do this multiple times as blisters can refill. Apply antibiotic ointment, such as Bacitracin, twice per day and loosely cover the area with an ABD pad until the skin is closed. This may take a couple of days to resolve.

Avoid direct sun exposure on the treated area for the remainder of your tattoo removal journey.

• You may resume your normal skin care products on the treated area after 14 days.

• Use SPF 50+ sunscreen with Zinc oxide and Titanium dioxide should sun exposure be unavoidable and reapply as instructed.

• Avoid heat and hot water for 48 hours.

• No baths, hot tubs, pools, or oceans for 14 days.

• Reduce vigorous exercise for 24 hours as this may increase swelling and discomfort.

• Do not undergo any other cosmetic or medical treatments on or surrounding the treated tattoo.

• Be patient and give your body a chance to process and expel the ink.
